SUMMARY:
Situated in the heart of Seattle’s historic Pioneer Square, the Exchange Building was originally designed in 1929. With an eye to restoration and capital improvements, the Exchange Building engaged BP to lead an extensive coordination effort as the project touched virtually every system. Improvements included: exterior restoration, main and multi-tenant lobby restoration, roof replacement, fire alarm system upgrade, HVAC system and controls upgrade, restroom upgrades. Simultaneous to main structural upgrades, TI improvements were conducted for more than half of the building.
All work was successfully accomplished on the 24-month schedule while the building was at full occupancy. Detailed coordination was imperative to ensure continued tenant services, utilities, and confidence.
